Well well well here we are! Christmas morning! I was a bit grumpy about "HAVING" to do yoga today, but I sucked it up, 45 minutes isn't THAT long after all.
Funny but in my journey accross doyogawithme.com over the past 2 years I had actually done this class before, one of the few intermediate classes I had done before I decided to do a whole consecutive 30 days of them LOL. Oh Dayle, what in the world were you thinking.
This class was centered around love, and although the pace wasn't too fast for me it was still above my skill level, so I took a note from IKIGAI, decided to love myself and work to my 80-85%. I know I still got the benefits of class because I feel pretty open, relaxed and I'm breathing deep. Just gotta keep stepping through at my own pace.
At the end of the day I'd rather push my ego aside and pull back from a class that I know I'll get huge benefits from, rather than stay where I feel comfortable in classes I know I can ace with no problem....
I will say however, I'm REALLY looking forward to a long deep YIN class in the new year to work out all the kinks and switch gears from stregnth building to more flexibility.

It's CHRISTMAS! And we haven't even opened presents yet! Today I layed in shavasana with an overwhelming sense of humility and greatfulness that this year I'm spending the Holidays with @teamhumble, in a quiet, beautiful field, away from the world, with whisky and video games and all the 80's movies a gal could ask for ... oh and stew.. Did I mention the stew that we've had boiling for hours??
Today is going to be a good day. I hope yours is too! From the bottom of my heart, I hope you take a bit of time for yourself today, wether that be yoga time, walking in nature time, making time, or anything you enjoy time. Take a deep breath and remember what's important. I know I'll be doing the same.
