To be honest I’m not quite sure how to approach this post. But yet here we are. Kinda the way I ended up on the mat this morning. I knew it would be hard. And it was. I wasn’t sure how I’d do, or how I’d feel afterward but still we try...
It wasn’t a practice for the history books that’s for DAMN sure. But I know I’m better off now than I would have been if I didn’t try at all. So I guess that’s something right?
Today’s class was 73 minutes long, so I knew I’d have to pace myself. I took a lot of modifications, and I’m nowhere near headstand territory so for those bits I just took time out, stretched, and met up with the next downward dog into chutarunga.

It’s Saturday. I’m sore, and tired but I’m proud of myself that its been 16 days straight of yoga and I’m still here <3

Today, during shavasana a quote that we read last nightfrom Ikigai came up. It was from Vietnamese monk Thich Nhat Hanh who would say:
“Hello Solitude. How are you today? Come, sit with me, and I will care for you.
It got me wondering if that was the inspiration of the beginning line of Sound of Silence by Simon & Garfunkel, and then all I could think of is all the memes that song brought about.

I guess it started off as a deep thought… and then became, as most things do, memes. What do you want from me, It’s a Saturday and my toes were going numb from the cold!
