I wanted to challenge myself to find a photo for today's #ThursdayGreen color challenge that wasn't something natural, rather something unnervingly UN NATURAL in this case.
LOL, how creepy is this thing! I thought it was hilarious, and drafted a tweet that said something like...
"Check out this rad Yoda mask I just found."
Yes, the troll is strong with this one, but I never sent it. I was too depressed to be snarky that day.
A week or so after I was back in the states, Dad asked me if I wanted to go to the local antique and second-hand store, I really didn't want to leave the house but I know he wanted to spend some time with me, and I thought it could be a good opportunity to take some photos for @nomadpictures.
I've always had an eye for weirdness, guess it started in my younger days, weekend trips with Dad to Coney Island, the Mermaid Parade, "shoot the freak" boardwalk paintball games, I'm glad my parents never shielded me from the weirdness of the world.
The fact that they didn't, made me feel secure in exploring my own personal weirdness like my, make EVERYTHING out of duct tape phase, or like the time I BEGGED my mom to buy a huge whole fish from the grocery store, and when she got it home I just wanted to play with it and check out its eyes and gills and stuff (zero interest in eating it lol), or the fact that if a relative gave me a Barbie doll, I'd put it head first into a solo cup filled with water overnight to "see what would happen".
Good lord my parents must have thought they were raising a serial killer! Thankful that they always let me be me, even if that meant things got a little. Weird.
Thanks for listening!
