Who else does that self inventory check while you’re traveling. Of course you need some sort of awareness as to the location of your physical belongings as well. That, classic Phone-Keys-Wallet-Passport CHECK. Shoes on, shoes off, remove your, belt sir, all liquids in baggies ma’am.

Maybe for most folks it’s not a big deal, but I’m crazy prone to misplacing things with absolutely zero memory of how I lost them. It’s a problem, like my brain god blank. So I try to keep super alert while in transition. I need time to re center my headstate and systems to fall back on.

Passport ALWAYS goes in THIS pocket.
ALWAYS.

Kinda makes me feel a bit like Guy Richie in Memento. I’m not sure what that is about my head. My best guess is RAM overload from over stimulation. I’ve talked a bit about it in previous posts, particularly my issues with shopping malls. Now that airports re practically shopping malls with security, it makes sense that it’s a bit distracting and overwhelming. Headphones help. And as I mentioned, Systems.

Once in departures, I close my eyes, crank the tunes and have a stretch and a few deep breaths. Today I’m thankful for the first time ever to be in an airport with @teamhumble and not saying a goodbye. I’ve got water and an apple I nicked from the hotel breakfast. Life is good.

We’ve also started to post little travel photos and updates on our @nomadpictures account if you’re intrested. This morning on he bus to the airport I posted a little doodle I drew on the train yesterday. More to come.

OK folks, final chilldown before flight time. Think I’m going to crack open that apple and enjoy the handsome company to my right.

See you soon to everyone already in Lisbon!
