Talk about teamwork! @teamhumble is off doing the pots and yours truly is down the path at the cafe grabbing breakky.
If I’m honest, I’m not quite sure how to attack today. I’ve got a touch of client work to do and a bunch of little adminny things I want to take care of so I can relax tomorrow and absorb ALL OF THE OLYMPIC ACTION.
Funny enough I was on this side of the pond for the last summer olympics and it was really funny to me how transparent the blatant nationalism propaganda is when you view it from another countries broadcasts.
Everyone is being told they’re the best all the time. No wonder we’re still struggling with that world peace thing STILL as a species.
I’ve never seen myself as much of a patriot having hippie anti government parents will do that to you- but the olympics have this way of giving you something/someone to root for.
I don’t know anything about the US athletes or their stories and I’m sure I won’t from BBC coverage, but I’ll still be rooting for the US teams, and if theyere out, genetics obligate me to root for Italy or Germany. (Although the Germans are such a treat to watch in the winter games I might be a bit swayed.)
I think today may be a bit of a back to front- some light admin work in the morning- client work next and hopefully a yoga break mid afternoon- we shall see!
Either way a solid breakfast after an evening of wine and @drdisrespect was much needed... should be any minute now ;)
note: breakfast came, as you can see in the cover photo of this post. IT WAS DELICIOUS.
