Ok, so yesterday @teamhumble and I did a bit of a brain dump as you do after a week at any type of event intense as Steemfest. His was linguistic and mine was photographic, and damn you guys really rallied behind both posts! Thank you! We’ve been buzzing all morning about plans for the holidays, what we want to share with you collaboratively and what we want our next few weeks of work mode will look like!
Really. Thank you.
Today. I want to switch from Italian artsy wanderlust mode to... GERMAN DATA MODE!
YES.
OK maybe a bit more context is needed. While in Lisbon I thought it would be fun to deploy a few tracking tools that ran in the background to see where we had gone and how much activity we’d gotten in. Here are the results!
It’s likely that you have or know someone who has a Fiitbit, Apple Watch or similar activity tracker, I find it helps me get a good barometer on how active I’ve been in the week, and how high I can get my heart rate during some more intense Yogas.
So on the fitbit platform you get a weekly recap of how lazy you were (oh wait, is that just me??) Well this week we sure showed them!

Yep. We walked 38 miles, which is impressive considering we had busses taking us everywhere, and were sitting for a lot of the talks. (Sorry feet, I’ll make it up to you I swear.)

A 12,000 average a day! Thanks goodness because I’m pretty sure I made up for all those calories burned and more in the form of Double Bock and Pasteles De Nata...

This one is measured based on heart rate time in cardio and fat burn territories. I believe 150 active minutes/week is the UK recommended for a healthy lifestyle, so feeling pretty damn good about that!

Hahahaha felt like less. WAY LESS. Just me??

That’s nearly 8 miles! Kinda crazy if you think about the hills in Lisbon too. Saturday was our free day so we just kinda explored. Had some lovely coffee, and wandered a TON… which brings me to the next tool I used...
If you haven’t heard of it, Esplorio is an absolutely awesome travel diary tool. It tracks your socials, photos taken, and routes travelled, and puts them all into a tidy little geo tagged digital travel diary. You can organize date ranges into “trips” and share with friends and family from right inside the app.
I hope you're ready for this...
OK.
You asked for it!
DUN...
DUN...
DUN!!!
Yes, a bit chaotic, a bit full-on and a bit all over the place. A bit like us Steemians no? Seems only fitting. ;)
All in all, I'd love to say how fit and trim we'd all be if we lived in Lisbon full time, (or at least for the colder months). Maybe that's just an excuse to spend a bit more time there in the coming years. Just have to watch out of all that delicious food and we'd be set. Although somehow I'm not sure that's entirely possible.
Everything in moderation right Steemit?
(If there's one thing I've learned about our community this past week, it's that we don't exactly do moderation- ha!)
I hope you enjoyed our trip to Steemfest through more of an analytical lense today. I certainly appreciated reflecting on where we'd been and why we hit the hay like we had been to war each day- in a way we were!
Until next time my dears!
