Ok I'm going to be honest I didn't give a damn about skincare until I got to be about 25, but even then... meh.
Now I'm just as conscious about what I put on my skin as what I eat. If we check the labels on our foods to make sure they don't have harmful ingredients, why wouldn't we do the same for the things we put on the largest organ we have, our skin!
The skincare and cosmetic industry is unfortunately riddled with fakes, and knockoff products that could really cause long term damage, not to mention maybe that $30 bottle of night cream is just hype? Knowing the active ingredients in a product is going to be your best defence against using something that might harm you or just wasting your money.
