Well good morning Steemians, Steem-sters, and Steemi-saurus-Rexes! It’s a bit of a later-than-usual rise for us here on Eastern Van Time, but once conscious, we were up (relatively) quickly and off to the races.
I took a walk to refill our water, partly because without water, there’s no coffee or tea, and that’s CLEARLY not an option, and also because I wanted to take a walk to check in with my back… the conversation was as follows
DAYLE: Uh hey… I mean, Goodmorning… :) You there?
DAYLE'S BACK: Hey, um, yeah, I think so. We're walkin' aint we?
DAYLE: Y-yeah, I guess we are! Seems easier than yesterday right??
DAYLE'S BACK: Don't push it bucko. ಠ_ಠ
As you can tell, It’s better than yesterday but still pretty cranky. Also, If you were picturing a 1920’s-style gangster as the voice of my back, you nailed it

I took my back’s advice not to push it today and we did a slow, stretchy-style yoga for hips and low back, most of which was seated. It didn’t get my heart pumping, which I realized kind of frustrated me… I wanted to do a bunch of sun salutations, and warm up my chilly extremities, but today was all about Bugsy Malone, my tired, tight, cranky and pinched lower back.
I must admit though, this pose is heaven if you sit too much like I do.
On the docket today is some web work, checking in with clients (who seem to have really dropped off) my daily Steemit time (of course!), and maybe if I’m lucky later on, this handsome guy to my right will accompany me on a nice long walk somewhere, followed by a pint maybe? Dunno, just spitballing - it’s chilly, but BEAUTIFUL out.
I’m sure there are other things, but that’s what to-do lists are for…
I don't think uncle Al, would oppose adding hard drives, or cloud storage, or blockchains to that list in 2018 either...
In case you’re wondering about my to do list of choice, I use Wunderlist- you may have heard of them, they’ve been around for AGES (digitally speaking), but I think that’s important, Startups have such quick lifespans these days, as much as I love to be an “early adopter” I’m finding myself more and more skeptical, saying
“let’s see if these jerks are around in 6 months”.
(I’m not sure why they’re all jerks in my mind but they’re always sitting around drinking chai-lattes with soy milk and using words like “game-changer” - ICK)

Oddly enough, the platform @teamhumble and I met on, didn’t last much more than 6 months and we were among the first to sign up. It’s like a limited time interwebz portal window opened up for a fraction of a second relative to our species’ time here on earth, and we happened to each be standing on the other side.
I waved, he waved back, The rest is history.
It’s a story and subject I’d love to podcast about one day, because damn it’s a doozy, but it also brings up a lot of important discussions about over inflated tech values, the budget (and people) burn rate pace of startups, location independent working, visas, and now blockchain value economies which I’m so grateful to be an active part of every day.

Damn, Maybe it’s the mystical post-yoga part of my brain talking, but what a world we live in… never has our species’ potential, to effect so many others in such a positive way, been so great…
Happy Wednesday to you, wherever you are in the world, take a moment to think about how you can wield these incredible tools we have to make someone else’s life a little better, a little easier and brighter. It’s tough out there. Be generous and whatever plan you come up with, paint it with broad strokes. ;)

Good Morning everyone!
