Why is it so hard to make time for the things we know will do us the most good? I just finished my meditation for today, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. It’s that late afternoon slowdown, I’m sure you know it, when 4:30-5 pm rolls around and you’re not sure wether to pop the kettle on for another round of coffee or if you should start thinking about winding down for the evening.

In truth, after I’ve sent this post out into the blockchain it would probably be best if I started that wind-down process but I’ve just been given another children’s book to record VO for, along with a request for it to be delivered tomorrow. - I’m not sure what tomorrow’s schedule holds, so I’m thinking it’s best to get that done (or at least recorded) tonight, when it’s nice and quiet— and more importantly not raining!

Speaking of “Scheduling”, here’s what appeared at the end of today’s meditation…

Pretty timely no?

I’ve got a personal aversion to motivation quote images because of all the time I spent helping businesses market themselves on social media. In a word. I think they’re lame as hell.

That’s no shade to anyone who uses them or keeps them around for personal motivation, I just believe that so much wisdom has been so condensed, westernized, digitized and packed with a hand lettered font, that they’ve just become anecdotes instead of a truth that could actually take hold in someone’s mind a heart.

“We’ve substituted wisdom for knowledge and knowledge for data.”

One of my favorite quotes from the documentary about awareness called “Innsaei”

Oh wait, did just throw a quote at you.. damnit. Sorry!

I'm learning that, not unlike creativity, energy, and almost every other resource we have, focus has it's own burn rate, and although meditation was great, I'm coming to the end of mine for the day- time for one final sprint and I'm pulling the end of the day work whistle!

Until tomorrow friends,
