Itâs a stunning morning out there today, itâs cold, but itâs February, thatâs to be expected. In our arsenal of Hygge we have woolen snoods, furry hot water bottles, little electric heaters and even tea pots!

Yesterday we we went in for breakfast and then swims, which in my book is already a good day, but on the way out I realized I had on me a rebate voucher for the local cook shop. Which is as close to a kid in a candy shop (with the exception of an actual candy shop) that I get.
We walked out with a lovely little tea pot! Which yes, is great for tea (gotta pick up some nice looseleaf), but what Iâm most excited for, is making my own little brews, Iâm thinking a ginger, turmeric and honey elixir to start in the morning. I mean, can you think of a better way to start the day. I canât think of a winter cold in existence that could withstand that. And in this last leg of the cold weather- Iâll take any immune boosting advantage that I can.
Oh did I mention, after swims, THIS happened. A traditional Cottage Pie. My first words were âwhere do I put this, to which @teamhumble and Ella replied, YOUR STOMACH!
This morning, I woke up from the usually tossy-turney-friday night sleeps with a cold in my neck, but I bundled up with the snood and I eased into consciousness with some delicious fresh mango, something Id pick up often for smoothies in the states, I didnât realize how much I had missed it.
Soon @teamhumble made a trip to the shop and came back with THESE!
I nearly had to fight back tears, super sweet. It feels like the birthday weekend celebrations have officially begun. Weâve got a bit of logistics to sort out but I think if we take it bit by bit we can get all the celebrating done. Iâm super excited, and canât wait to take photos to share with you.
When I was in High-School, I used to joke with my friend, âLetâs be honest, Iâm not going to make it past 25.â I wasnât a troublemaker, but I was a bit reckless, and a touch clumsy, and I certainly didnât give a damn except anything but ska music and filmmaking and making things from duct tape. At the time, it seemed like a pretty decent prediction!
Dear 17 Year Old Dayleeo,
We made it to 30! I promise! Itâs not as lame as it sounds. Thereâs a magic digital money called crypto currency now, and even though American politics has turned into a sleazy reality show, youâve carved out a bit of an retreat with some lovely folks across the pond, (but more about that later).
Iâll be honest with you, your 20âs arenât going to be a picnic. Youâve still got your parent's split ahead of you, along with your own splits, a very stressful job situation and a close death in the family to get through. Itâs going to be a lot.
But youâll find yoga and a loving wonderful mouse who makes a damn good breakfast and who brings you flowers the day before your birthday. Youâll see more of the world than you ever thought you would, and youâll start feeling more like yourself everyday.
On the eve of your 30th Birthday, youâll feel pretty damn good. - And it certainly feels from where Iâm standing, the best is yet to come.
<3
Dayleeo
Ooh! Before I go, I was able to check off 2 more goals from the monthly list! Not many to go now, think I can do it with 5 days left in the month?? We shall see!
