Sooo it’s been kind of a funny few days. To start, We’ve been getting sleep- which is great, but my dreams have been off the charts lately! Let me tell you, they’ve been throwing me for a loop!
In one I was in my middle-school classroom, there were writings on the wall and floor that could only be seen with a pocket UV light, and then I got a notification on my phone that my crypto wallet had been hacked and a large sum of money had been stolen.
The Ol’ subconscious has really been doing summersaults
I woke up, Mr Humble passed me a cup of coffee and we started talking about the Youtube campus shooting that took place yesterday, about entitlement, about digital responsibility and communication and algorithms. --
Somehow the convo fizzled out, and then next thing I knew I was eating eggs, that the guy had stealth-fully whipped up without my noticing, or maybe I’m just THAT out of it in the mornings. -- I SO appreciate his ability to get the show on the road in the mornings with coffee breakfast and all around positive energy-
When the rain starts to make you feel like you're loosing your mind!!
After breakfast I realized I didn’t have anything work wise that was super pressing so I started to mess around with a little pixel editor inside of of my favorite games for the playstation, RESOGUN. --You can totally tell it was coded by Finnish teenagers who were off their respective faces on energy drinks-it’s absolute mayhem.
First I made a poke ball- the idea of creating a sphere with a 21x21 pixel grid kind did my head in, but I just built it up layer by layer- I’m sure there’s a better and more mathematically sound way to have figured it out- but I just eyeballed it because, right-brained.
I probably should have quit while I was ahead- but I had to go ahead and make a Pikachu as well— the results were quite epic, and it was super relaxing to play with- us creative types need new ways to play- gotta keep that brain sharp!
UPDATE, last night before we recorded for the podcast, I started on a Squirtle as well-- HELP! I CANT STOP!
In the evening we took a rainy walk to the shop for vital curry supplies, had dinner together and has a relatively early night.
Fast forward to today and it’s STUNNING out! Oh my goodness friends. I’m typing the rest of this blog post to you in the bright upper room of a cafe in town, the caffeine is flowing, and we’re sitting near an open window with the sun shining on our faces.
I don’t have to tell you what a difference weather makes, especially in a place so famous for the grayness. (This town in particular can be a real bummer…)
I remember when I was a kid- finding the spot on the carpet in the living room that would cast a beam of pure light on the floor and just lay in it. I’m telling you, cats know what’s up when it comes to naps in the sun.
So thankful we were able to get out today and enjoy this stunning weather- get some laptop club on, grab some supplies (we passed on the dragon’s blood)and get some logistics sorted for when we head to @steemcampuk on Saturday!
I hope you enjoyed this little update- i've been feeling a bit scatterbrained with the big location transition coming up, and all of the logistics that entails but I'm going to try my best to be present- enjoy the time I have left, and to keep making and sharing.
