This morning I feel GUUUUUUD.

I’ve woken up in a pretty non-happy, non- ready to go every day this week. Bad dreams, bossy sleeps and all around life adjustments forcing me to adapt faster than I can keep track? Maybe too much client work or bad dreams? Maybe the imbalance of not enough creative work for myself.

Too much client time is something I vowed I’d cut back on back in February, but then March was TOTALLY dead and I felt like I really needed to catch up and push the hours in April. You know how freelance life can be- it often feels as though it’s rags or riches.

Freelancers after one good month...

One of my new goals is to continue to invest my time in places that could mitigate the stress of the pits and peaks, and being here with you on Steemit is certainly one of those ways! I don’t care if I make .50cents a week, its a step in the right direction. I'm not here for Lambo money. I love the people here, I love being able to just wake up and write without having to deal with updating 500 plugins, or realizing my hosting subscription has expired.

Here, It’s just SIMPLE. — You couldn’t pay me to go back to a wordpress site.

Last night @teamhumble had the first of what I’m sure will be many talks about funds. Plotting out the best way for us both to contribute to pots of money we can put our extra pennies in each week, how we can tell stories and track progress around them and how we can both have safe equal access, without a plastic card.

Turns out its harder than I thought it would be, mostly because of international regulations. Is it so hard to ask for two folks from 3,000 miles away to be able to chip funds into a pot from two different international bank accounts? Turns out it is.

LOL... so EVERYONE.

I don’t really care about the legality of why we both need a US phone number, or a UK mailing address. All that noise is exactly what we’re looking to get away from. All this research made me pretty aware (as @teamhumble mentioned yesterday) how damn spoiled we are by blockchain technologies, but particularly Steemit in general.

I want my money, where I want it. I want to be able to move it around… and quickly, oh and I want no fees for moving it.

Yes it’s sounds like I’m a little personal finance Veruca Salt, but that’s the beauty of the direction we are moving. Folks (including myself) are realizing there ARE alternatives and because of that, we’re expecting MORE. Harder, better, faster, stronger.

And rightfully so if you ask me, those banking fat cats have gotten away with middle-manning and getting rich off our desire to want to be flexible with our funds. It makes me laugh now, their days are SO numbered, and they know it… just take a quick browse at the news.

Change is coming my friends.
Today I’m thankful that I get to take part.
That I get to participate in platforms that make me a bit more free, a bit less tied down to systems every day.

That’s it for this morning! I’ve got to hustle to get some work done before I head out and meet the grumpy old lady Boston Terrier I told you about yesterday. Looking forward to updating you on that, AND finally sharing photos and videos from my crazy Italian 90th birthday celebration with Grandma this past weekend. (I worked on editing the photos last night and they had me cracking up just to scroll through them!)

Goodmorning you!
Wherever you are, no matter how you woke up, or what happened yesterday, make it a good one.
