Well good morning my Biza Bizaaa :)
Damn I'm tired but I had such a relaxing day. Just little puttering around beet hummus, a epsom soak, some open ended design time aaaaaand BURGERS!
Not too shabby right? The one on the left has my futuristic alien plant cheese and the one in the back left was dads with white cheddar.
They were really good! I was surprised- texture and juiciness was certainly there- one of the main ingredients was canola and coconut oil which is really what sold it as a burger. The taste was really nice and I think doing em on the grill gave that little bit of BBQ taste that topped the whole thing off. Super lovely over all- I was so impressed it might even warrant a dedicated post.
Wished you could have tried, I was thinking of you when I was reading the package and noticed that concentrated beet juice was used for the pink color.
Made me remember our beet burger nights... yayayay! Boy firing burgers out of the pan between Paladins rounds - doubled up on one bun, beer close by. We lived like kings with holes in our pants and our wallets but we had food and an internet connection and each other.
What more could a gal ask for? ;)
Felt a bit of peace wash over me this evening, like you feel after a long cry. I haven't been crying today but was feeling down for sure- you and poppet certainly brightened my day though. Seeing you both always reminds me why I'm working so hard and why I've got so much to look forward to. I'll never take that for granted.
Ooh also! I got a new flannel in from Amazon today! It's green and cozy and it's definitely a v2 flannel for a v2 Dayle. The other one was definitely a bit of a security blanket. I cried a lot of tears in that silly flannel. Probably would have ever gotten rid of it so once again the universe had its way. And made room for something new, and better suited for me. :)
So as for you mouse, It's Saturday! I hope you and girly are snug as a bug in a rug! That you wake up feeling awesome and rested and full of LIEEEEFFFFEEE!
