OK, before I start. I’ve been thinking about the new StarTrek. I could write a whole post about this and maybe I will but… You can’t just cherry pick the sound bites of 50 years of legacy and throw up a few token females of varying races, jam it all into a pilot episode, and cover the whole thing with enough lens flares to blind the sun itself.

Ugh. I’ll give it another shot, but man I’m disappointed. You can put women in positions of leadership as the lead roles in your writing all day but unless they’re dynamic and have a compelling STORY, they’re just there so that the image of a few Old Boys in suits look progressive. It’s insulting as hell.

Good Morning Mouser!
It’s Tuesday! I hope you had really lovely sleeps and that you were warm and toasty all night in zee van. We’re still having a hot spell here. If you can believe it I’ve had the A/C on all day. Dad just called me a little while ago to ask me to turn on the one in his room in advance because he’s been boiling all day working on the cars. Crazy. It’s almost October, like. Let’s get it together weather!
Tonight I go to sleep knowing I finished everything on my list today. That’s a feeling I’ve not had in months. Even though incomes have slowed down, I’m thankful for the time to chip away at logistics. Ordered contacts, did some more cleaning, sorted out the studio and got on top of all those little strands. Felt SO damn good. I would have loved to go up to see mom and the pup, but staying here and clearing the queue was the right move. I told her I’d try to make time this coming weekend. We’ll see how I feel after the dentist on Thursday.
It really is perfect timing to have this work lull and thankful all the pieces are falling into place. Speaking of thankfulness…
So stoked that you’ve been crushing daily hours love! I know it takes a bit of time before you’re getting the weekly money in but that’s so huge. Plus you have the monthly course funds to chip away at bigger projects as well. I can’t wait to be working, and drinking coffees and having dance parties and hustling along side ya loves. I really feel we’re going to beast mode the rest of 2017. YAYAYAY!
JUST got a message from the possible new VO client. They want to chat on Wednesday, so that’s a good sign right? Apparently someone has been out of the office so they’re waiting on that person. Hoping they have good news or they would have already cut me loose already right? I’m confident I did a good job. And I know I can get better, just need the shot :).
Well damn, that’s enough excitement for this girl for one post. We went on a journey through rage, sentimentality and nervous anticipation lol I’m exhausted!
