Wow interesting Day 4 this time around. Today we did neck and shoulder openers. Major trouble spots for me typically so I know I needed it. I wouldn’t be surprised if tomorrow I’m mega sore, but as I remember the way they put this series together at DoYogaWithMe.com is in a way that really gives muscles groups a break, so in this case I’m expecting some sort of lower body, and leg work tomorrow.
All good, all forward motion!

It was an interesting one today. I’ve had some bad neck and shoulder tightness, pinched nerves and knots in my shoulders in the recent past. Consequences of being a keyboard warrior I guess, so I feel that when I get an opportunity to stretch those areas out I tend to overdo it. Today I really didn’t feel the calming and zen effects of the practice so much because I was mostly concentrating on “How do I feel? Is this ok, or do I need to back out a bit?”.
So although my mind wasn’t in a clear meditative state, at least I was listening to my body and keeping that channel of communication open.
That’s the thing with neck work, there’s a very fine line between, “Hey this feels so nice and OWWWW!”.
I just checked and it’ looks like tomorrow’s class is much shorter and a gentle relaxing one- YESSSS. Important to have those kinda classes mixed in, especially if you’re going 30 days straight!
Deep thoughts?
Nothing today, and also nothing from the last round. I have a feeling I was similarly focused on being careful and not hurting myself last time as well. - That reminds me, I should get the heat pack on my shoulders while I step into work soon. That’ll be a nice :D
YAYA! That’s a wrap on Day 4 - Nothing life changing but I defiantly feel better for it. We can’t be mystical cats every morning!
