Is this what it’s like to be “old”? Is it just an endless string of waking up with something new that hurts to deal with!!? Jeez- now I know why mom has been complaining about it all these years.
Nothing too bad today, maybe it’s just this cold wet weather, but I’m feeling pretty stiff and achy- a bit of a twinge in my neck- just all around ROUGH feeling. I popped a turmeric pill for inflammation, and looked at my hands this morning, wondering why they seem to puff up so much over night.

Ok, extra water it is. I know the dangers of self- diagnosing, but even I am susceptible to a google search now and then. Why is keeping healthy so hard? Of course diet and exercise are the pillars of a healthful lifestyle, and maybe we’ve strayed SO far away from the lives that will keep our bodies and minds challenged that it feels like much more of an uphill battle than it’s meant to be. But it seems that we cant even agree as a species what’s good for us and what’s not!
For crying out loud (as @teamhumble mentioned in his post today) we’re still discovering organs in the human body- I also read that coffee can be a carcinogen… AWESOME. "Meat is bad, BUT MAKE SURE YOU GET ENOUGH PROTEIN!!" "Carbs are bad- BUT ALSO OUR ONLY SOURCE OF ENERGY!" "Stay away from sugar- EVEN FRUIT! WHO CARES WHAT YOUR HEALTH TEACHER TAUGH YOU!"
What’s left to eat???! I kind of understand the argument for something like soylent-- as much as my Italian ancestors are doing backflips of anger at my even suggesting such a thing,

Maybe the aim is to make us so confused, and to make food and health so complicated, that we throw up our hands, and let a service provider take care of it. It’s absolutely a huge blessing that we live in the information age, a time where data has never been so readily available, but maybe in the process, we forgot how to listen to our bodies.
One of my favorite quotes states…

Don’t get me wrong, having access to information helps us take back control over our lives, but since we’re certainly not going to be moving backward technologically, maybe the best way for the powers that be, to maintain control is by spamming our data streams with more information than we know how to wade through, until we throw our hands up and say "let the professionals handle it.
Lord help me, it's too early for your anarchistic mystical deviant theories about the world Dayleeo. Whenever I start in with "The powers that be..." you know we're about to go down a RABBIT HOLE.

All I'm saying is, our human species has existed for a pretty long time, and we've been "reasonably" good at maintaining these fleshy vessels- so why in the world does it feel so difficult now, when we're at the pinnacle of science, medicine, technology and communication??
Maybe its best if we just upload our consciousnesses into robo-bodies. Let's just hope the power stays on long enough so we can keep em charged ;)

Goodmorning Blockchain!
