Sometimes when it starts to feel like groundhog day in VanLadia, and or we run out of supplies we hop on the bus and head into town to get some steps in. It's usually a long day but we always walk away with at least 10k steps (literally). This week the way schedules ended up, we were in town twice, the first time we got a ridiculous British candy haul for the resident American to try out.
I'm working my way through them for a dedicated post. I can't wait to share!
Yes, I've been taking my research VERY seriously ;)
I've fallen in love with this little coffee shop not too far from where the bus drops us off...
they have a super cozy little back area where I was able to take the opportunity to work on my submission for @everlove 's Collaborative Art Journey #30!
Don't think I didn't notice the little clearance Christmas section in the corner, I really loved this little antique tin mini. I could see myself being such a collector (/hoarder) of little trinkits like this, but in the name of minimalism, I just try to take a photo and appreciate these things virtually. Stuff can be such a prison you know?
Super appreciate the affirmation coffee shop!
There's also a wiseguy who works here as well... lol appreciated.
@teamhumble had a package to drop off in a little convenience shop, so while he sorted that out I explored their eliquid and vape section, I don't partake, but the names of the flavors always cracks me up... What in the universe does UNICORN MILK taste like, and more importantly-- WHO IS MILKING THEM???
Next was another quick stop that SOMEHOW ended us up in the bakery section of the shop- I swear we teleported there, I have no idea how it happened. But I can report that that white chocolate and lemon curd tarte in the middle row, was INCREDIBLE. That's all I'll say....
On our way out of the town center, a little second-hand furniture and DIY shop caught our eye...
I'm so glad we stopped in, there was a zillion little trinkets and projects to look at. We met the owner, (and mentioned she might want to blog on a place called steemit.com..) and were introduced to resident shop dog Gypsy!
A bit cautious of strangers but she came around. In the end, I was getting the full on, cross-body lean as if to say, "Yes please more behind the ear scratches thank you."
We were running a bit early to pick up Mini Mouser from school, and both had to use a restroom so we popped in for a quick half-pint at a nearby pub, and took a moment to rest our feet.
Call me Guinness... I got you ;)
It wasn't long before we hit the pavement once again...
We were tired by this point, but the stunning scenery never disappoints, especially just around sunset time. (Which is now like 3pm.... what the heck!)
Thanks for walking with us!
Until next time friends <3
