Phew, Deep breath Dayle. â Youâre at the machine. Youâve had your breakfast and youâve got green tea at the ready. Today is going to be just as productive as you need it to be. Just breathe.
Yesterday we spend the day out and about. I donât think I have enough photos to justify a full WalkWithMe BUT the highlight for me was CERTAINLY the SWIMS!
As a kid, my parents used to call me fish-girl, because Iâd swim for hours at any opportunity. We used to swim at the local lakes in my mountainous hometown of Ringwood NJ, and if we got invited to a friendâs house with a pool, I was LIVING.
These days Iâm no different, but the opportunities to swim come way less. Which is why I appreciated our trip to the local pool here in the UK. As you may have read, my back has been a mess all month so far, and upon looking at his health data @teamhumble realized that we really donât move on Mondays which certainly canât be helping.
*no we didn't swim in this lake, but it was nearby and the last shot I took before we went inside, I love swimming but not THAT much. *
If youâre a freelancer or digital remote worker, you may notice that like us, our clients donât really hit their work momentum until Tuesday or Wednesday, which means Mondays are the perfect days for us to get up and out!
We awoke to a dusting of snow, and hopped on the bus. Mouse needed a swimsuit, so we grabbed quick breakfast sandwiches, got him sorted, stopped for a quick shot of espresso at my favorite coffee shop in town
They really don't get much snow here in the Midlands, when it comes down it's just a dusting, but it makes everything look MAGICAL especially in the early morning
I know my iPhone is technically waterproof but I thought it was safest in the locker, but please take my word when I tell you, the water was warm and lovely and I was able to get some great heart beating laps in with zero back pain. It was an awesome switch up from yoga, and afterward we both felt like a million bucks.
The rest of the night was chill, a quick drink at a local pub, and on the bus we jumped. I was pretty exhausted when we got back so I just took a bit of chill time to paint my nails (so theyâre pretty for Valentines dinner tomorrow- because Iâm lame like that) and to make some to-do lists for today.
A super sour beer called the Frambuzzi. It was really REALLY nice if you like sours.

TIMEWARP to this morning.
I woke up with a solid 8 hours, and the haze of some pretty bizarre and vivid dreams at my back. A failed attempt at breakfast crepes, because of missing blender component means that weâre having cornflakes, but I tried to make them a little more substantial by using coconut milk, ground chia seeds and two sliced nectarines. It did the job didnât it? I mean weâre 463 words in, in what feels like a flash!
I've got tee shirts I want to design today,
(which will be numbers 2 and 3 in my 4 shirt monthly goal, if youâre following along.)
Iâve got client work to do and a job request to get back to and a possible teleconference.
(but not after Steemit time of course).`
`Iâve got two turn tables and a microphone.
where it's at.
A cut through the local forest at sunset <3
At some point today, pots needs to be done, lunch needs to be made, sushi rice needs to be prepped for dinner and Iâd LOVE to get some yoga in, coming off the back of that great swim day yesterday. ( SO thankful @teamhumle activated that btw)
Learning that on the days you feel good are the BEST days to get moving and stay ahead of back pain. There are months at a time where it really plays no part in my life at all, but when It creeps up it feels like Iâm not right for weeks.
I DIGRESS! (should be the name of this blog)
A client had an issue with her blog this week that weâre hosting for her, makes me remember how much a dislike wordpress and all of that server hosting nonsense. Iâm considering moving my old food blog over here on Steemit fo archival blockchain permanence purposes but Iâve got to give it more thought because I donât want to get flagged for plagiarism from bots.
hopping fences like the proper rebels we are...
The alternative is to move each post over to my current site as a blog section under squarespace (which is much more tolerable than wordpress to me)
Hmmm not sure what to do with that. What do you think?

Ok my lovely friends- Best wishes on your daily hustles whatever they may be, Iâll be keeping Discord open as well if youâd like to say hi while we blast through this day of coffee, speed and momentum! Your invite is below, you have been INVITED.
See you there!
