I'm giving myself 20 minutes to write this post today because this lovely girl eats at 8am. I've been up since 5:30 (as per usual), done yoga, and had some playtime in the back yard with a lovely, and larger than life Black lab named Bella.
If you were around these parts (my blog) last summer you may remember her from a week I stayed with her last August I believe. She's a sweetheart of a girl, with lots of energy and absolutely no concept of what her massive powerhouse of a body is doing.
Bella just throws herself in a direction and hopes for the best.
She also LOVES water....
But HATES the pool...
So much so that she has a total meltdown when anyone so much as steps in!
I fell asleep in tooth pain, and woke up in tooth pain, but trying to let things take their course, I'm on a steady stream of pills and when it's really bad I get the clove oil going, that seems to help the most.
What made it better is that I was greeted in the sweetest way this morning by our girl Bella, she came bounding out of her bed with a toy, and then quickly realised that that wasnt the FAVORITE toy that she sleeps with, so she swapped that one out and presented me with her baby, a teddy bear.

Nothing like a dog to make you feel loved and glad to be alive another day. LOL Every time I come get her, in the mornings it's like its been 10,000 years! Oh to have a doggo's concept of time, everything must be so exciting!
I opened the back door and let her out, and soon joined her with my yoga mat. She is understandably very confused by this human ritual, and decides to "help" when I'm in downward dog, by scooping her head underneath my arm and lifting my whole body up from under me, as if I'm some human bridge she's trying to get under.
such fail lol
I can't help but laugh. I had an hour long practice planned, but i finished after 30 minutes, and played with her in back yard for the rest of the time.
BUT SUCH ZOOMS!
I think she enjoyed it because this her right now...
I heard her lay down with the BIGGEST sigh. I'm sure she misses her family, but Ive let her know they'll be back soon, until then it's my job to keep her as happy and safe as possible.
Checking the weather forecast it's going to be another hot one today... which means lots of indoor time, and plenty of water and her favorite snack, ice cubes when she's outside.. the last time I was here I made her a MEGA PEANUTBUTTER DEATHSTAR! Which I'd HIGHLY recommend if you're looking for a creative way to keep your doggo cool this summer.
Welp, its time for me to wrap up friends. I'm so thankful to have her company today, but it's back to the regular routine for me tomorrow, I'm sure we'll see eachother again soon Bella! <3
